Training and education are the heart of Professional Fitness Instructor Training. Quality of content, an expert advisory board and staff, and our personal interest in each student are valued at PFIT. Descriptions of our courses, schedules, and course hosting information are provided to inform you and assist you in making that important decision on which courses and certifications are right for you. All courses implement both theoretical (lectures) and practical (hands-on) training, as do the PFIT certification examinations. The Professional Fitness Instructor Training (PFIT) advisory board and staff are composed of sports medicine and orthopedic physicians, physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, exercise science professionals, registered and licensed dietitians, and fitness training professionals certified by nationally recognized institutions (including ACE, ACIM, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, and AFAA). Professional Fitness Instructor Training is headquartered in Houston, TX, USA. While the core PFIT staff does travel to other school or workshop locations both nationally and internationally, we do seek to involve local fitness and medical professionals to the greatest extent possible, while at the same time maintaining content integrity and quality.
